Natural soap



Soap is one of the oldest and most popular human cleansing products in the world. Over the years, the manufacturing of soap has undergone many changes which now allow consumers to have a much better choice in what they use to clean themselves. Two soap products available on the market are regular soap and natural soap.

Regular Soap

Although we refer to them as soaps, regular soap is really a form of detergent. Products that are identified as detergents contain such ingredients as petroleum by products. Regular soap is created using mass product manufacturing methods. The ingredients can include: DEA, Glycerin, Isopropyl Alcohol, BHT, Triclosan, Alkali, and sodium tallowate. These chemicals can be source of skin irritation that can result in dry, itchy, and flaky skin. As well, sodium tallowate is a by product of beef fat.
